DescriptionSince its inception in 1974, the Center for Applied Mathematics (CMAP) has set as its objective the development and exploration of mathematics in connection with the applications. The opening of the CMAP to other disciplines is reflected in the variety and complexity of the research topics being discussed. Its operation allows its teams to explore and initiate new issues. The research areas of CMAP are in close liaison with the issues raised in physics, mechanics, chemistry, biology and finance but also in socio-economic and information technology. The essence of research is based on the CMAP cycle: modeling, mathematical analysis, simulation, visualization and refinement of modeling. Each stage of the cycle uses the expertise of the members of the laboratory.
