|Description||"The Institute for computer science was established in 1971 as one of the first computer science institutes in the Federal Republic of Germany and since then gathers the research and teaching in computer science at the CAU. Currently, the Institute consists of 15 research groups, covering all core areas of computer science and practical mathematics and numerous activities granted by third parties. In detail the activities extend to theoretical, technical and practical computer science, as well as economical computer science.
The institute offers a Bachelor's Degree with consecutive Master Degree in computer science and a Bachelor's Degree in Economics in computer science. Furthermore, a 2-subject Bachelor's Degree with consecutive Master Degree with the profiles "Teaching Profession at Grammar Schools" and "Subject Supplement" is offered.
Besides, students of all subjects may follow a 4-semester Certificate Course. In addition, the institute for computer science offers subsidiary subject courses for students from more than 10 other different (non-computer science) courses of studies at the CAU. The diploma courses in computer science with more than 10 choices of subsidiary subjects is still offered. Nevertheless, the diploma courses will be discontinued within the next years."
