|Description||"The Bachelor of Arts in Mathematics (General Track) is designed for the student preparing for a career in a field which requires a mathematics component. This track offers a great deal of flexibility; the student and adviser can plan an appropriate sequence of courses to fit the student's interests and career goals, such as applied mathematics, statistics, etc. Laboratory science and computer science preparation help tie the mathematics to applications.
The Bachelor of Science in Mathematics (Theoretical Track) is designed for the student interested in doing research in mathematics. It is also a strong preparation for graduate studies. The program is structured to develop mathematical thinking and proof writing skills.
The Bachelor of Arts in Mathematics (Education Track) is designed for the student seeking a career in education at the secondary level, or interested in graduate school as a Mathematics Education student. Students receive a strong mathematical background, as well as background in educational theory. Students gain experience through internships with public schools and tutoring on campus."
