| Description | The Department of Mathematics and Informatics (DMI) brings together more than twenty teachers specializing in science, mathematics and statistics. DMI offers several curricula that meet the needs of students, including the formula and double bachelor's degree firmware. The areas of expertise of our teachers are computer software engineering, artificial intelligence, image processing and networks. Our teachers of mathematics and statistics are specialists in particular hypercomplex algebra in differential equations, numerical analysis, in enumerative and algebraic combinatorics and statistical non-parametric and multivariate. Several professors of DMI are also involved in the Laboratory for Interdisciplinary Research in Scientific Computing and Imaging (LIRICS), the Research Laboratory in Software Engineering (GLOG) and Research in probability and statistics. DMI is also involved in the community, particularly through the Advisory Center Statistics (CCS). Also, the department is an official member of the Institute of Mathematical Sciences, whose Web site is reachable via the <http://www.math.uqam.ca/ism/>. |
